Earley|This book is a short review of a few interesting examples of historical cob buildings in England. It is in no way a technical manual on how to build cob buildings. It shows regional differences in style, color and materials and has a few examples of dilapidated cob walls and structures where layers have fallen off. It|About the Author|John McCann was an Inspector of Historic Buildings for Essex County Council and English Heritage. He has tutored numerous courses for Cambridge University and has published widely on various aspects of vernacular architecture.
